New York's World-renowned Bluegrass Music Band Mountain Quickstep in Istanbul
For over 13 years, Mountain Quickstep has brought lively fiddle tunes, lonesome folksongs, and fancy footwork to audiences from New England to Texas and abroad. The group will give two concert performances in Istanbul - at Tuzla Municipality İdris Güllüce Cultural Center, Beyoğlu Municipality Youth Center and Zeytinburnu Culture and Art Center.

Consul General Kilner Presents 2011 AMVER Awards
July 26, 2011 Consul General recognized 16 Turkish companies for their outstanding participation in the AMVER (Automated Mutual-Assistance Vessel Rescue System) program at an awards ceremony held at his residence. Currently,165 Turkish-flagged ships participate in AMVER - a voluntary global ship reporting system sponsored by the U.S. Coast Guard.
