On February 25, a U.S. chartered flight arrived in Istanbul, carrying American evacuees from Libya. Among them, there was a top U.S. diplomat stationed in Libya: Joan Polaschik, the Charge d'Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli. Joan Polaschik said that all U.S. direct hired staff and their families have departed Tripoli safely.

Watch the video below where she commented on the grave danger in the days leading up to her evacuation in Turkey upon arrival at the Atatürk Airport (For full trancript of the interview, please visit CNN Transcripts - The Situation Room).
