Istanbul Hosts Iowa Writing Program Authors

Public Affairs Istanbul organized a May 14-17, 2007 program for four U.S. authors participating in the ECA-funded Iowa Writing Program. The program began with a public staged reading to an audience of fifty authors, professionals and students, followed by a reception. The authors also spoke to an enthusiastic group of students at Bosphorus University. The Public Affairs Officer hosted a reception in the group’s honor for Turkish Iowa Writing Program alumni, the President of PEN-Turkey, and other well-known Turkish authors.
