"Information Literacy Workshop" at Istanbul Bilgi University |
Information Literacy Workshop for High School Librarians and Teachers
The “Information Literacy Workshop for High School Librarians and Teachers” was organized by the Innovative Library Initiatives Promotion Group in cooperation with the Istanbul Directorate of the Ministry of Education, and hosted by Istanbul Bilgi University on January 8, 2008 at its Dolapdere Campus. Information Resource Officer Michael Huff has also contributed to the program by giving a presentation on the subject. The title of his presentation, which was highly appreciated by the attendees was “Information Literacy Projects in the United States: Public Schools, University Libraries, and the Government.” The Workshop is held as a part of the ILIPG’s Information Literacy Project. Administrators, teachers, librarians from project participant schools; ILIPG members; Ministry of Education representatives attended the workshop in addition to the host university librarians. Director of the Ministry's Istanbul Office, Ata Ozer also briefly attended the program and made a speech.
