Filmmor Women Films Festival, Screening of Two Films

In honor of International Women's Day, Public Affairs Istanbul supported the Filmore Seventh International Women's Film Festival that takes place in Istanbul, Manisa, Urfa and Trabzon. Two American documentary films "Busting Out" and "Shooting Women" were subtitled into Turkish and the directors Alexis Krasilovsky and Francine Strickwerda traveled to Istanbul to participate in the festival events as well as events organized by the mission. Consul General Sharon Wiener hosted both film screenings at her residence to highlight women's employment issues and raise awareness of breast cancer.
