The Consul General spoke at Haliç University to a standing-room-only crowd of 200 students at the invitation of its founder, Prof. Dr. Gündüz Gedikoğlu.  Her remarks covered her personal experiences in Turkey, the 2008 U.S. presidential election and the transition process, and the factors that underpin the historical strength of the U.S.-Turkish relationship.
