U.S. Mission Brings Aziza to Turkey
The U.S. Mission is bringing Aziza to Turkey as part of our ongoing interest in education and in working with Turkish organizations, especially NGOs, that have a special interest in education for children and youth. This particular program focuses on children with special needs, who are often forgotten in our societies.
Under the sponsorship of the U.S. Mission and under the management of the Consulate General in Istanbul, Aziza, a well-known American dancer, choreographer and educator, will spend almost three weeks in Turkey visiting different regions. The primary goal of her visit is to provide these children with an exciting experience that will broaden their horizons and help them get in touch with the potential of their bodies to move in rhythm. A second goal is to inspire teachers to explore some of the techniques that Aziza demonstrates so that they can use them in their own work.
