Ambassador Ross L. Wilson Visit to Bursa

Ambassador Ross L. Wilson visited Bursa, one of the historically rich cities in the Istanbul consular district. Today, Bursa is a vibrant city with growing young population and with a very dynamic business community. Ambassador Wilson first visited Mayor Hikmet Şahin. He then met with Celal Sönmez, President of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) followed by a lunch with several BTSO Board Members at the famous Bursa Iskender Kebap. Ambassador Wilson was given a brief tour of the American Corner in Bursa (a partner institution hosted by BTSO to promote mutual understanding between the United States and Turkey) by Ezgi Yılmaz Güha, Coordinator of the center. Ambassador Wilson also met with Mustafa Yurtkuran, Rector of Uludağ University. This visit to Bursa provided an opportunity for both American and Turkish officials to exchange views on various issues.
