Adam Fawer at Istanbul Book Fair

The famous American author Adam Fawer gave a lecture on "Improbable and Empathy: My Literary Career So Far" at the 28th Annual Istanbul International Book Fair on October 31, 2009. Fawer spoke about his first steps into writing professionally and his two international bestsellers Improbable and Empathy.
Adam Fawer is a native New Yorker, born in Manhattan in 1970. Though he originally studied marketing and finance at the Wharton School and received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, he's always had a love for writing. While attending Stanford, he was the Editor-in-Chief of The Reporter, which was awarded the Best Business School Newspaper by the editors of The Wall Street Journal, Business Week and The Financial Times
After working for several years at companies like Sony Music and About.com, Adam first ventured into writing professionally. His debut novel, Improbable, was an international best-seller, translated into eighteen languages and won the International Thriller Writers Award for Best First Novel. His second novel, Empathy, has also been very successful worldwide.
Adam is currently finishing his third novel, which will likely be published in 2010. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, with his wife Meredith and his two sons, Phineas and Odin.
