9/11 Commemoration at U.S. Consulate General, Istanbul

At 3:46 pm on September 11, 2008, U.S. Consulate General Istanbul observed a moment of silence in honor of those who died on September 11, 2001, in the terrorist attacks against the United States. Consul General Sharon Wiener gave remarks during the ceremony in which she also remembered the three police officers who died and two who were injured on July 9 in the terrorist attack against the Consulate.
