U.S. Consulate General Istanbul Celebrates 232nd U.S. Independence Day

Consul General Sharon A. Wiener welcomed 2000 guests to the Consulate in Istinye to celebrate the two hundred thirty-second anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.  Over 2000 mostly Turkish distinguished guests enjoyed American fare donated by local outlets of American restaurants at the Consulate’s largest event of the year.  The 4th of July is a day of patriotism and family events throughout America to celebrate the nation’s democracy, freedom, heritage and natural beauty.
